Internet Marketing Is Hard To Learn, Unless….

The image is a picture of a computer, with the screen open, but black. Internet marketing begins with a computer.
Internet Marketing: Work From Anywhere

Internet Marketing is daunting to most people. When I tell people they should learn to make their living from the internet, most people shake their head and say “I don’t know how, that’s too hard to learn.” Other people simply say “How does one make money online? I don’t know how anyone does it.”

To this I must say, of course you don’t know how to do it. Everyone starts out a beginner. Just because you don’t know how to do it, or how money is made doesn’t mean you don’t even start to learn. Did you know how to do your current occupation when you started? or did you go to school or learn from someone else. We all start out a beginners. No one know anything in the beginning.

Why Learn Internet Marketing

Now of course one question to ask yourself in the beginning would be why would you want to learn internet marketing?

I can only answer for myself and from what I’ve heard other people saying. The main reasons why we wanted to learn internet marketing is mostly security and freedom. The security from knowing that we control our incomes. We can’t get fired on a whim or fired due to downsizing or covid, which happened to me. When you have a job you don’t control your hours, your days, your weeks your months. You are basically owned by the company. Andy when you outgrow your usefulness you can be let go.

The freedom to be able to do something we like, when we like it. To be able to take off and go where we want, when we want and with whom we want. My business goes with me everywhere I go. I like to travel and I don’t want to have to ask for time off. And then I don’t have to have a pay cut if I do take time off. Actually I can make money the whole time I am gone. Traveling can be part of my business. Some people make staying home part of their business.

Many people also have some things they just love to do and they want to be able to make money doing it, This is all possible with the internet. All sorts of artists make money selling their products or information on the web. Some people just want to share their knowledge and make a living doing that. Whoever you are and whatever your goals, dreams and aspirations are, there is a market on the internet. The internet gives us the freedom to be who we are.

How to Learn To Make Money Online

Just like anything else in life, learning how to do internet marketing is totally doable. There are tons of people out there sharing their information on YouTube and through courses and books. There is no shortage of people telling you how to do it. The trick comes in trying to find the information that is the easiest to learn in the shortest amount of time.

I’ve been studying internet marketing for 10 years now and found that my biggest challenge wasn’t the nuts and bolts of “how” to do it. My biggest challenge was my mindset and personal money issues. I had to overcome these in order to be able to make money online. More about that later. 😉

In the last 10 years I spent thousands of dollars trying to learn how to make money online. I sorted through countless programs and people. Some courses were just so difficult to understand, the back office a total nightmare to navigate, the people involved so un-caring that I gave up on trying to understand their stuff. I went on to the next course, the next group, the next twist on how to market, what to market, where to market etc.

My advice to someone who wants to learn how to do internet marketing is this……use this course. This course I have finally found is the most comprehensive and yet affordable. The people are the best and the support community is awesome as well.

I would highly recommend that you use my last 10 years of failure to your advantage. Don’t waste your time like I did going from product to product to product. Wasting your time and your money. Also, doing it for free doesn’t work either. You could watch YouTube videos until the cows come home, but their isn’t a readily available step by step plan in place when you try to do it that way. It becomes way more confusing that way. Trust me…lol I know from experience. Start with this program. It is a 15 day challenge and they walk you through what to do step by step.

When To Learn To Make Money

As for the when to learn internet marketing, I would say the sooner the better. Because it does take time to learn I would suggest starting before you lose your job or the next big crash comes around to keep you in your home indefinitely.

Start now, budget your time and money wisely so that you can have a nest egg or a nest business to support you before you need it. IF you start now you won’t wake up in 10 years like I did and find yourself in the exact same boat as before. Take the time now to build your future. A future you want to wake up in. A future that you planned, created and dreamed into existence.

How I Eliminated My Perimenopausal Hot Flashes

How I Eliminated My Perimenopausal Hot Flashes

Hot Flashes Are NO JOKE!

I eliminated my perimenopausal hot flashes. IF you mention hot flashes to women you will get mixed responses. Some people are in the middle of them and some haven’t gotten here yet but have heard about them and certainly aren’t in a hurry to get there. Bottom line: No one wants or likes HOT FLASHES!

I eat pretty healthy so mine didn’t start as early as some people’s do…at least that is the only reason I can think of that mine started late…anyhooo I digress. My hot flashes didn’t start until after the age of 50, and they weren’t super bad to start out. Quick literally I didn’t have them at all until I took a trip with my son for about 2 weeks.

There in lies the key, which you will discover later.

The Trip-Causes Perimenopausal Hot Flashes

We packed up the car, got a tent, some freeze-dried meals like these, the cutest little cooking stove that runs on twigs and can charge your cell phone and hit the road. In all fairness we didn’t camp the whole time. I did stop in with family along the way. But the time we spent camping was awesome!

This is my youngest son and he was doing all three Spartan Races within a couple of week period of time. He had to get them all in in order to get his Trifecta Medal that he wanted. We had to go to Big Bear Ski Resort in Southern California in October for one of the races. This is where we camped out.

We spent days trying to get used to the altitude, we were from sea level and this was considerably higher. We climbed all over the mountain and he hopped on top of huge rocks, climbed trees. He’s quite the monkey, which is why he likes the races. If you don’t know what they are check them out…they are cool. Google Spartan Race. Check them out on YouTube as well. Many people post videos.

Anyway I digress again. The point of this story is that I was away from home. A few days into the endeavor I started noticing that I was getting hot, periodically. It was weird. This had never happened before! It was almost instant upon leaving home. In the middle of the night I would have to take the covers off. Then a few minutes later I would be cold again. AARRRGGG!

I thought, “ok, it’s finally hit me. I’ve finally hit perimenopause. ” Of course, like any woman, I thought I was going to have to get used to them and live with them. I did my best to come to grips with this reality….even though it was super sudden, I thought.

Coming Home-Cured Perimenopausal Hot Flashes

Fast foreword 2 months. We have arrived back home and life has gone back to the normal day to day activities. Suddenly, one day I realized I wasn’t having the hot flashes any more! What!!!!! I thought about it, when had that happened? I rationalized that maybe hot flashes come and go at this point.

About a year later I take another trip. I’m only gone a few weeks and again the hot flashes start up. I assume that they have come back like I thought they would. Upon my return home I monitor them. Hot flashes aren’t something you can just ignore. About 2 months later, with a sort of shock I realize that they are gone again. Ok, so I begin to think this isn’t normal. My mother had hot flashes and she never had any relief from them.

What is different? I few more trips later, and a few more years, I can honestly say I figured it out. Every time I leave home the hot flashes return and they take about 2 months after returning home to leave again. I am writing this after the hot flashes have just dissipated for the umpteenth time, and it has indeed been 2 months since I returned home. It kind of makes not want to leave home, but now I know what is happening.

Does anyone want to know what happened, how did I eliminated my perimenopausal hot flashes?

Health-To Fix Perimenopausal Hot Flashes

First let me say a little bit about Health. I’m sure you’ve all heard the following quote.

Our health is priceless and yet we often don’t give it the time of day. We eat what is convenient, easy and tasty without a thought about what it is doing to our bodies. Many people don’t even realize that the foods they eat are actually not good for them.

Did you know that the human body is supposed to be alkaline, but our standard American diet is acidic?

Has anyone told you that if you maintain an alkaline diet, fruits and vegetables are alkaline, you won’t get as sick?

Did you know that cancer cannot live in an alkaline environment?

So if what we are eating is acidic and making us sick, then how in the world can we fix it?

Most people don’t know how to eat mainly vegetable and most don’t even want to try.

But….What if there was a way to make yourself healthier, more alkaline, without having to change you diet completely?

Alkaline the Easy Way

Now I will let you in on the little secret. A substance that I will not go without, if I can help it. It’s called Kangen Water.

This water has made my life a whole hell of a lot easier, as I have gotten older. The benefits are much more than the elimination of my perimenopausal symptoms. My skin is more hydrated, my stomach doesn’t hurt when I eat, my brain can function with clarity, my joints don’t ache and the list could go on. Click this link to learn more and gain access to an awesome video which explains a whole lot more about Alkaline water and how it works.

Now of course, always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on this Website.

eye glasses, eye chart, eyesight

Where did my eyesight go?

I confess I never thought I would lose my perfect eyesight.

I assumed that I would go through life with perfect eyesight. Nearsighted or farsighted was for other people. I have never been to the eye doctor or had glasses. My eyesight was perfect. I could read and see everything I needed to see.

I didn’t know that when you get older you just automatically, slowly, over time lose the perfect sight that you had as a young person. I remember the moment I started noticing that something wasn’t quite right. I was at the airport and the signs just didn’t come clear after I looked at my phone for awhile. I thought it was just the phone messing with my eyes.

Years go by and things are getting fuzzier and fuzzier up close. I guess I am farsighted. It is kind of annoying to not be able to see your own hands if you get a splinter in a finger. I have to move the books out way far in order to read them and now to top it off my phone is almost too small to read. And this fuzziness is downright annoying.

Can I do anything to improve my sight?

Being the health nut that I am, I figured there had to be some way to improve my sight.

Surely eating a million carrots or washing my eyes with cayenne everyday would fix them. There must be some herb or other food that would help. There just has to be….right? Maybe there is some yoga for the eyes?

But, I must confess I am rather lazy. So even though I have heard about things that might help, I have put off doing anything. Until NOW!

Restore my eyes challenge

A while back I bought a book about using exercises to improve your eyesight.  This is a 3 week program. I never did them consistently….daily…… like I am supposed to in order to see any results.

So my challenge to myself is to do the exercises daily and either prove or disprove their claims that these exercises can improve eyesight.

I am going to record my results below in order to keep myself on track…I highly encourage you to leave a comment so I know someone is watching me…so I keep it up daily.

I am going to put up an eyesight chart and record my findings weekly. I will take measurements of distances….in my case close distances. I will measure it in the morning…because at night my eyesight is shot…lol.

The future of my eyesight

Now once I have gone the 21 days with the exercises, if I do not find the results that I want, I am going to have to take it to the next level. I don’t want to put too many things into play at once or we won’t know if one of them works.

If the eye exercises don’t work, then the next step in my plan will be changing my diet. Maybe I need to eliminate sugar as in I have talked about in this post. Stay tuned.

spoonful of sugar

In my quest to figure out the whole sugar issue to some sort of satisfaction on my part. I have come to find that the main problem with sugar is the fructose content.

The key thing to realize is that the liver is the only organ that can metabolize fructose in significant amounts.

When people eat a diet that is high in calories and high in fructose, the liver gets overloaded and starts turning the fructose into fat.

Sugar cubes

The Harmful Effects of Excess Sugar

Eating a lot of fructose in the form of added sugars:

  • Makes your liver synthesize fats, which are exported as VLDL cholesterol, which leads to dyslipidemia (blood tryglicerides and cholesterol), fat around the organs and ultimately, heart disease
  • Increases blood levels of uric acid, leading to gout and elevated blood pressure
  • Causes deposition of fat in the liver, potentially leading to non-alcoholic fatty liver disease
  • Causes insulin resistance, which ultimately leads to obesity and type II diabetes
  • Insulin resistance leads to elevated insulin and insulin like growth factor (IGF-1) in the entire body, which may ultimately cause cancer
  • Fructose doesn’t affect satiety in the same way as glucose. Therefore, you will eat more total calories automatically.
  • Excess fructose consumption may cause leptin resistance. This is throwing your body fat regulation out of whack causing weight gain
  • Sugar is a downright addictive substance

See the whole article here:

How Can We Eliminate Sugar?

With all this in mind, you begin to think twice about your sugar consumption. What is the normal average person supposed to do? We know we are addicted to sugar but we don’t want to give it up.

The first thing you need to do is research further and come to the understanding that sugar is actually bad for you. If you don’t have that belief you will just continue on with your sugar love affair. There is so much more wrong with sugar than just the previously talked about items. Sugar also feeds the bad bacteria in our gut, therefore our whole system gets out of whack. If we are going to get sick, it will go start in the gut first. The acne, headaches, autoimmune diseases, constipation, and all sicknesses all begin in the gut.

There are a few things you can do. First, switch to honey or stevia or monk fruit. Second, slowly stop eating as much sugary sweets and replace them with whole fruits or baked goods made with the alternative sweetener. Third, stop drinking sweet drinks, especially soda, but also fruit juices, lattes at Starbucks, energy drinks and the likes. Because so much of our sugar intake is in the form of drinks that we can make a big step towards health by simply eliminating these things.

Your body will thank you for giving up as much fructose as you can…the more the better.

Stop Procrastinating

Today I will be talking about 5 ways beat procrastination. Every time I turn around I seem to be procrastinating some task or thing I feel like I need to be doing.

For example, I really need to plant my cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower in the garden….but everyday I find new things to occupy my time. I keep saying…tomorrow….tomorrow…

This has been very frustrating for me so I have set out to overcome this Goliath in my life.  I would like to share with you a few things I have found that have helped me beat procrastination.

1. Make Bite Sized Chunks

The biggest reason we procrastinate is that the task is too large or it is new to us and it seems overwhelming. One big task seems a mammoth to tackle, so a simple solution to make it easier on the mind is to break it down into bite sized chunks.

IF you have one big task which will take 3 hours it may seem like a chore to start, but break that project up into 6- 30 minute bite sized chunks and before you know it you can do two of the 6 chunks and you are on a roll. Once you get started and make some progress then it has a feel good factor and a psychological effect of making you want to do more. This can help you beat procrastination.

Suddenly this big mammoth task seems much more reasonable and very manageable. The trick is to simply concentrate on one chunk at a time, get it done and then move on to the next.

2. Plan It Out

Planning is another one of the real, genuine keys to success and will help you beat procrastination. Just like the mammoth task is hard to start, a task without a plan can be overwhelming too.

You first need to look at the task and create a breakdown. Second you need to create a detailed timeline with quite specific deadlines. This will map out exactly what needs to be done and when, in order to complete the task. Again, it becomes more manageable and you know exactly what to do and when.

Creating a plan and a timeline creates the urgency to act – when you know you have to do a task before this afternoon it puts pressure on you to act. Planning eliminates procrastination by stimulating action.

3. Make Yourself Accountable

Napoleon Hill procrastination quote

Another good method to employ is to tell other people about your goals and your plans. This makes you more accountable outside of your own desires. This helps inspire you to work, and makes you want to live up to other people’s expectations.

When you know that other people know about your plans you don’t want to let them down or be seen to give up in their eyes. It is easy to procrastinate or ignore a task when you only have yourself to report to, but when other people are involved it adds extra pressure, a different element and motivates you to take action. This is where a life coach can come in handy.  A life coach helps you plan out your goals, make bite sized pieces out of them, create a timeline and then help you be accountable. If you are interested in having a life coach fill out the form below and lets talk!

You can also possibly add extra power here by starting a competition with your friend or get an accountability partner. Challenge them to pursue a goal too, and race each other to completion, or simply hold each other accountable. This changes the task too – it’s not just a boring task you have to complete, it is a more fun shared experiment and some friendly healthy competition to spur you on.

4. Change your Environment

Just a simple change of work space can help you to increase your productivity. When you work from the same place over and over bad habits can creep up on you.  Laziness and procrastination are just a few of them. If you just mix it up a little bit it can really stimulate your mind and help you to just do what you are meant to be doing without procrastinating.

Try working from a cafe if you never have before. Just go there with the mindset that for just one hour you are going to keep your head down and work on your tasks. A new setting like this really can do wonders to blow away the last vestiges of procrastination and help you eliminate procrastination.

5. Simply Starting Beats Procrastination

Something really simple you can do to make sure you make progress and beat procrastination is to simply start. Sit down at your desk and write something, even if it’s just the introduction. If it is a report you need to do then just write the opening paragraph. If it is the ironing you have to do then just setup the ironing board and iron 1 shirt. Before you know it you’ll have the whole pile done.

Simply getting started helps your mindset, it stops you from thinking negatively and just gets you into a productive state of mind before you have chance to hesitate.

I hope these ideas have given you some good ideas and get you on your way to eliminating procrastination. If there is anything I can do to help give you more ideas feel free to leave a comment.

Guidelines for Sugar Consumption

Guidelines for Sugar Consumption

A thin lady wraps a tape measure around her bare, thin stomach.
Limit sugar intake, get thin

What are the guidelines for sugar consumption? I’ve often wondering what happens to your body when you eliminate sugar so I went out to discover the truth. Are all the rumors true? Here is what they say:

The World Health Organization

The World Health Organization has changed its sugar recommendation—advising no more than 5% of your daily calories should come from the sweet stuff, down from the previously recommended 10 percent. Considering that more than 50 percent of all Americans consume one-half pound of sugar PER DAY—translating to a whopping 180 pounds of sugar per year, we have some work to do.

The WHO’s expert panel reviewed some 9,000 studies on sugar intake. They came to the conclusion that it most definitely affects your risk for obesity and obesity-related disease. By reducing sugar intake, the WHO says, you can reduce your risk of cavities and obesity. Their analysis refers not only to table sugar found in baked goods, but honey, syrups (like HFCS), and fruit juices.

Guidelines for Sugar Consumption

The WHO drafts guidelines for sugar consumption:

“The objective of this guideline is to provide recommendations on the consumption of free sugars to reduce the risk of NCDs in adults and children, with a particular focus on the prevention and control of weight gain and dental caries. When finalized, the recommendations in this guideline can be used by programme managers and policy planners to assess current intake of free sugars relative to a benchmark and develop measures to decrease intake of free sugars.

The announcement is sure to anger the U.S. sugar industry, who about lost it over a decade ago when WHO suggested the 10 percent recommendation. As a matter of fact, back then, the industry lobbied Congress to threaten a withdraw of millions in funding to the WHO if they didn’t reverse their position.

“The less sugar you’re eating, the better,” said Dr. Robert Lustig, of the University of California and expert on the dangers of sugar. “If the sugar threshold is lowered, I think breakfast cereal is going to have a really hard time justifying its existence,” he said.

Members of the WHO panel say the 5 percent threshold is a long-shot for many consumers, but a worthwhile goal.

“We should aim for 5 percent if we can…but 10 percent is more realistic,” said Dr. Francesco Branca, WHO’s director for nutrition.

Reduce Your Intake

A single can of soda would blow a child’s entire daily sugar allotment. Many children consume this much, if not more, every single day. Children should not be drinking whole cans of soda.

Researchers from the CDC found the average American gets 15 percent of their calories from sugar. A reduction to 10 percent, let alone five, would be a vast improvement and—for many—a tough challenge.

You can immediately slash your own sugar consumption by focusing on the beverages you drink. Sodas, fruit juices, energy drinks, and fancy gourmet coffees are all loaded with the sweet stuff. Eliminating these beverages alone could help you reach a more reasonable level of sugar intake.

This is just the beginning of my posts on sugar. Sugar has many more detrimental affects on our bodies that I will be delving into in the future. So it you want to feel better, have more energy, have better sleep, less aches and pains stay tuned for more blog posts.

Happiness is a Decision

Happiness is a Decision

I think the whole world struggles with this concept of happiness.

My whole life I know I’ve struggled with being happy.

Wikipedia defines happiness as:

Happiness is a mental or emotional state of well-being defined by positive or pleasant

emotions ranging from contentment to intense joy.

Are you Happy?

How about you? Do you feel happy? How often do you feel happy? Is it daily with occasional bouts with depression or is it depression with occasional bouts of happiness?

Is happiness something you want for yourself? Do you feel like it is something that you will someday have in your life? Is your automatic response “of course I’m happy!!” But deep inside you actually know that you are not, but you certainly can’t let anyone else know.

My Life in a Nutshell

Let me give you a quick over view of my life. I was raised in a religion that, in my opinion, uses fear to motivate you to make correct choices. These choices, of course, are supposed to help you make it to heaven. This just wasn’t working for me.

Fear and depression were constant companions. Nothing I did was ever good enough. I couldn’t get it “right”. Judging myself against the standards of the church I just couldn’t seem to do everything that I was supposed to be doing.

The church moved more to the background while I was doing my best to figure out the whole happiness issue. Then in 1998 my husband decided to move on without me while I was 6 months pregnant with my 6th child.

I had always been a stay at home mom, had never held a job for more than 3 months, and I had no income and no vehicle. At this time I was asked to move, they kind of wanted some sort of payment for me staying there…lol.

Talk about depression! I think I was queen of depression! My life was a series of moving and struggling to stay afloat.

It was about learning to be an entrepreneur and learning how to be a single mom. I juggled “jobs”, gigs and home based businesses. Add a second husband and another kid to the mix and life got really interesting. Learning how to deal with another person was great fun. Then I decided to get divorced from this second husband. I moved in with my mom and tried to start my life over again.

Happiness is a Decision

In 2003 I decided I was done being depressed. In one fell swoop I decided to quit being depressed. I wanted to be happy.

Elation, joyousness, and cheerfulness were going to be mine.

Learning and studying all sorts of gurus I learned all sorts of things, but the biggest, most helpful resource was my own intuition. My intuition guided me to the thoughts, books, events, mindsets and people that would help me the most; direct thoughts, insights and inspiration were given to me.

I decided to be unburdened, uplifted and prosperous. Living my life on purpose, I started to create the life of my dreams. I took control of my happiness levels, which did take considerable focus, but it is so worth it in the end. My thoughts didn’t control me, I controlled my thoughts. In controlling my thoughts I ultimately controlled my happiness levels.

Now as I go to the store or walk down the road I see all sorts of people. As I run my businesses, I meet all kinds of people. I observe everyone while smiling and nodding my head. Some smile back, others not so much.

But as I observe people when they don’t know I am looking, I see a sort of pain, a kind of depression of sorts. I don’t know exactly how to describe it but I’m sure you’ve seen it too and even experienced it.

People are not happy, exultant, jubilant. They plod along. Their faces are just sort of there. No emotions. No joy.

This makes me sad and I want to say to them “Be Happy!”

there are lots of blue balls with frowny faces and one yellow ball with a happy face

You are a genius

You are a genius

How does that statement make you feel?

Are you skeptical? Did you say “posh, some people might be but not me?”

Are you pompous? Did you say “Yep, I sure am” but not really deeply mean it.

Are you real? Did you say with certainty, a deep knowing, “Yes, I know we are actually all geniuses.”

Genius’s in Disguise

Did you read the quote above? It makes perfect sense to me…I do feel like a fish trying to climb a tree. How about you? Maybe you are a beaver trying to fly?

Get the picture? Kids in school are particularly vulnerable to this….if they are in a class and they just don’t understand quite as well as other people in the class they can really get down on themselves.

I remember when I was in Jr. High and I had to take shop. I really liked it but I just couldn’t seem to make things turn out quite like “everyone” else did. Many kids are good at math, but can’t write a story to save their life.

We are all genius's in our own way. Don't try to be something your aren't

My son is a genius in auto mechanics but in English he just pretty much quits. So many people judge him because he fails this class. Why can’t we just look at what people are so good at and think they are awesome? Why do we judge them for the things they can’t do?

This also carries over to ourselves. Why do we judge ourselves because we can’t do everything? Where do you have a tendency to judge yourself? I just can’t seem to keep a super clean house…but I am a genius in the garden. My time is spent in the garden so I can have super healthy food. The house suffers, but I am happy.

There are some people out there that just seem to be superhuman and do it all. But what are they giving up? Some people play in the New York symphony but do they have a full time job, or kids, or hobbies? Maybe they don’t and you do.

It is subtle sometimes, this judging ourselves. Sometimes we don’t even realize that we do it. Even though we might not consciously realize it, it has an impact on us. It affects our mental and emotional health.

The next time you find yourself judging yourself stop and take a look at what you are doing. Focus on that. If you find yourself judging other people stop and focus on what they are doing right. We are all geniuses in our own way.

Let us free ourselves from the burden of judging both ourselves and others. In this way we can
